Has your favorite show been canceled?
Sun May 12, 2013
Ditto. I loved the music and the cast. Haven't been able to watch 2nd season, but will catch it on Hulu or Netflix. Also, will buy the DVD when it comes out. Love the 1st season and watch it on DVD.
The queen to throw birthday bash for Charles Dickens
Fri Feb 3, 2012
I enjoy Dickens a great deal. My favorite Broadway Musical is "Oliver!" based of course on "Oliver Twist". Dickens created many memorable characters that are still part of our culture even to this day. Christmas isn't Christmas without some version of "A Christmas Carol". I enjoy reading the stories …
Shel Silverstein book released 12 years after his death
Tue Sep 20, 2011
The Irish Rover's most famous song "The Unicorn" is one of Shel Silverstein's poems. Another of my favorite poems is "Since they put a brasier on the camel".
'Corn sugar' is false advertising, FDA warns
Thu Sep 15, 2011
Actually, regular cane sugar is pretty expensive as there are tariffs currently in place that prevent us from importing it more. As a matter of fact many candy makers like Lifesavers wanted to move their production units to Canada where cane sugar is much cheaper than here in the US as they didn't w …
Workers to hit Darden with wage, discrimination claims
Thu Sep 15, 2011
Problem is kids today don't play outside like we did when we were kids. (I'm nearly 50). They sit indoors and play video games, watch TV and don't run around as Mommy and Daddy have them in all kinds of extra activities that don't always promote movement, play or imagination. We as Americans don't …

What everyone fails to understand is that Netflix needs to raise its prices to get more movies to stream. It's the Major Studios you all should be screaming at because Netflix, Blockbuster, Amazon, whoever who has to pay to get the rights to stream, broadcast whatever. I'm sticking with Netflix as …
Hacker arrests: Some were on Facebook, some blogged
Fri Jul 22, 2011
Just watch the movie "Sneakers" if you haven't ever seen it. "SecAstronomy" is all I have to say.
'Cars 2'
Mon Jun 27, 2011
I saw "Cars 2" this weekend and I am huge Pixar fan. No, I don't have any children, but I was entertained and pleasantly so. It was a fun movie with a different tone and focus than the original "Cars". And love the original movie. Yes, I went into the original movie thinking "Oh, god here comes the …
'Cars 2'
Mon Jun 27, 2011
First of all, everyone is different and will react to things differently. No two people will see the same thing and agree on what it looked like, sounded like or smelled like. That being said, I have no children but am nearly 50 myself and I loved "Cars 2". Parents you have to know your children an …
Hacker group LulzSec says it's done

Something to please remember and keep track of... Keep watch on your bank accounts, credit cards, emails and whatnot over the next 6 months. Sure they may get these guys today, but the information may not be used immediately. Report any suspicious activity to your bank and see if they can trace back …
Questions & Answers
Are Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang too mean for today's kids? Good grief!
No
Do you think the Katy Perry video is too risque for 'Sesame Street'?
No
I could see it if she wore Lady Gaga's meat dress, but I think she was not that bad looking.
Should a British girl have been crowned America's Perfect Teen?
No
It's like Miss America being from Europe. While yes she is pretty, no she should have been disqualified from the start.
Were the parents of a 6-year-old cheerleader right to complain about a 'booty' cheer?
Yes. The cheer was inappropriate for the child's age.
These are 6 year old children here, not 20 something adults. It would make me upset even if this cheer was used at a High School.
